About the Role
Join this company as a Field Applications Engineer (EE FAE) where you'll play a crucial role in addressing electrical design challenges, fostering customer relations, and ensuring exceptional experiences.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with customers to discern requirements and align solutions with specifications.
Engage throughout the customer design cycle, contributing across all stages of new product development and planning.
Review manufacturing designs, proposals, and presentations to ensure alignment with customer needs and engineering requirements. Present design proposals effectively.
Serve as a customer advocate, collaboratively resolving issues together.
Work closely with internal engineering teams, ensuring customer needs are met, acting as a bridge between the company and our customers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including acoustic, electrical, and mechanical engineers, quality control, and supply chain management, addressing manufacturing issues across pre-prototype to mass production phases.
Interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, perform FAI and Cpk statistical process capability analysis (for ME background).
Drive day-to-day project tasks to achieve project objectives and deliverables.
Undertake additional assigned duties and responsibilities.
International travel (approximately 25%) to support customer visits at our manufacturing sites.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Possess 2+ years of experience in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field within the Electronic Consumer Device or ODM/OEM industry (preferred).
Experience in power management/supply design and development is advantageous.
Demonstrate quick learning, responsibility, and self-management skills.
Excel in customer interactions, displaying strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Showcase broad engineering capabilities, encompassing electrical and manufacturing/industrial engineering, with system-level hardware design and mass production experience being a plus.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese communication.
Proficient with Cadence/Allegro if coming from an EE background (strongly preferred).
