About the Role
This client seeks a Technical Support Supervisor to join their Field Application Engineering group. You'll collaborate closely with customers to solve design challenges, ensuring exceptional product experiences. A deep expertise in one product design discipline (e.g., Acoustic, Mechanical, Electrical, Antenna/RF, or Power/Battery) is essential, with a broad understanding of others.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with customers to identify and meet specifications.
Drive product development throughout all stages, engaging with the customer's design cycle.
Review and present design proposals addressing engineering and manufacturing needs.
Advocate for customer needs, liaise between engineering teams and customers.
Work with cross-functional teams, addressing manufacturing issues from pre-prototype to mass production.
Interpret engineering drawings and conduct statistical analysis.
Lead day-to-day project activities to meet objectives.
Additional duties as assigned.
Up to 25% international travel for customer visits.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in Engineering and Project Management.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Expertise in one of the following: Acoustics, Mechanical, Plastics, Process/Manufacturing, Electrical, Systems.
Background in electronic consumer devices or ODM/OEM industry preferred.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Strong communication skills.
Statistical and analysis skills a plus.
Self-motivated and quick learner.
Proficient in engineering software and tools.
Tooling and injection molding knowledge is a plus.
Skilled in UG NX for those with a mechanical engineering background, or proficient in Pro/E ORCAD, Cadence/Allegro for those with an electrical engineering background.
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools like R, Matlab, etc., is advantageous.
